Analysing key data on population, life expectancy, burden of disease, Saltwater People visualised key health disparity between people living in QLD and those in the Torres Strait region.
About OUR WORK WITH TORRES HEALTH
Saltwater People have partnered with Torres Health since their inception, in 2018. We worked with Torres Strait designers Riki and Diana Salam to build a strong brand identity.
Riki created the Torres Health logo as conceptualised by Torres Health’s founding board members. Saltwater People have created Torres Health’s media, and communications and support the team to deliver communications from the remote location of Thursday Island in QLD.
Saltwater People also engaged digital specialist, Kantesha Takai to deliver their social media during 2020. Saltwater People continue to support Torres Health with their media and communications.

Digital Marketing specialist and proud Torres Strait and Wuthathi woman Kantesha Takai worked with Saltwater People from 2018 – 2020. Kantesha is a highly skilled digital marketing specialist and self-titled Content Queen. Kantesha is now an Indigenous business facilitator, coaching other local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business owners and continues to grow Lola Digital, a boutique creative and content agency.
